i’ve said it before, but the best (only!) way to make studs still work is to use them with restraint ~ and in seriously unexpected ways. i thing this is the perfect example of the rare occasion in which they still feel fresh.

love the raw hem treatment on such a fancy jacket. so much younger this way… and a great DIY style!
determined to chop the sleeves off a vintage trench for spring. so cute for casual layering!
i’m forever finding chic vintage leather elbow gloves, but am usually devastated to find that the fingers are too short for my man hands. next time, i’ll follow the inspiration from this photo & pick them up anyway! once i get them home, i’ll know to cut off the finger tips, finish the raw edges with a spot of glue (to keep the skin from shredding), and rock my updated arm warmers!
here’s a lovely little DIY styling tip: after buckling your belt, knot the end instead of simply sliding it through the vertical loop. this is especially chic when your belt is closed on the smallest setting & you’ve got lots of floppy end to contend with!
a stylish DIY for the home: this is a basic (ikea-style) task lamp that’s been covered with a deconstructed vintage football! i love this for a man’s office ~ think i want to make one for the glamour guy’s studio!
what else would work for this besides a football?
